asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will institute an amnesty for holders of illegal weapons and ammunition.

Mr. Mayhew

We are not persuaded that there is sufficient justification for a further amnesty at present.

Mr. George

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what have been the dates of amnesties for illegal holding of weapons and ammunition; and how many weapons and rounds were recovered in each amnesty.
