§ Mr. Arnoldasked the Prime Minister, pursuant to her answer to the hon. Member for Hazel Grove on 14 December, Official Report, c. 79, how many of the staff appointed to the unit supporting the Chief Scientist are scientists; and if she will set out their relevant qualifications and experience.
§ The Prime MinisterAll the staff appointed to the unit supporting the Chief Scientist are members of the scientific group within the Civil Service or the research councils. They all possess academic qualifications in one of the sciences and, among other considerations, have been chosen for their experience and its relevance to the functions they have to discharge.
