§ Mr. NewtonThe Department receives various representations from time to time about the provision of help with heating costs under the supplementary benefit scheme, but the level of heating additions as such has not been subject to any substantial criticism recently. These additions were increased by 15 per cent. on 22 November, in line with the expected increase in fuel prices between November 1981 and November 1982.
