Mr. Ashley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will list, for the last three years and to the latest available date, the number of available day care places per thousand population aged 65 years and over; and what has been the percentage change in each year;

(2) how many day care places per 1,000 population over 65 years of age were available at the latest date; what were the figures for each of the previous three years; and what was the percentage change for each year.
