§ Mr. David MitchellThe total cost of the breakwater project in Bangor bay is estimated to be £2.5 million. To date works costing £1.8 million have been carried out towards these costs. The Department of Economic Development has paid a grant of £800,000 and the European regional development fund has provided some £500,000.
The Department has no plans to make grants toward a marina or refurbishing the waterfront.
