§ Mr. Michael RobertsThe implication of the decision in Re Clayton's deed poll is that in circumstances similar to those in the Clayton case, trustees of Church buildings which cease to be used as schools cannot, generally, dispose of them. There are, however, conflicting decisions of the High Court on this matter and I understand that an appeal against the decision is being considered.
