§ Mr. Weetchasked the Minister for Trade, in view of the Director General of Fair Trading's recommendation that the Consumer Credit Advertisements and Quotations Regulations should be amended so that their provisions apply equally to all financial institutions and other bodies engaged in house mortgage lending and, in particular, that article 8(2) of the regulations should be revoked and that bodies at present exempt should adjust their procedures accordingly, whether he will take steps to implement this recommendation; and whether he will make a statement.
