§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will allow the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service to appoint equality officers to examine and monitor new legislation.
§ Mr. AlisonThe appointment of equality officers has been proposed by the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Trades Union Congress in connection with the Government's proposed amendment of the Equal Pay Act. These and other proposals are being carefully considered.
