§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of Her Majesty's Government's reliance on the normal practice of manufacturers, rather than on specific information, in assessing the availability of components, including those manufactured in the United Kingdom, to the French manufacturers of Exocet, Official Report 6 December, c. 337, she is satisfied that the terms of the memorandum of understanding under which the purchase of Exocet for the Royal Navy was made conditional upon a proportion of components being manufactured in the United Kingdom can be monitored adequately by Her Majesty's Government.
