§ Mr. Terry Davisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to the answer of the Under-Secretary, Official Report, 2 December, col. 284, whether the notice of the application for listed building consent for Cole Hall Farm in Stechford was regarded as coming from the local authority concerned.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneThe application for listed building consent for the restoration and conversion of Cole Hall farm and barn, Stechford was made to the local planning authority by the prospective purchasers of the property. Since the local planning authority proposed to grant consent it was required to notify the Secretary of State in accordance with paragraph 5 of the schedule 11 to the54W Town and Country Planning Act 1971, to enable him to decide whether or not he should call in the applicant for his own decision. The application was not, therefore, regarded as coming from the local authority concerned.
