§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether there are any cases awaiting judgment pending against him in (a) European courts outside the United Kingdom and (b) the European Commission of Human Rights; if he will list any such cases in the Official Report; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HurdThere are no cases pending against the United Kingdom before the European Court of Justice concerning matters for which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has primary responsibility. The610W Foreign and Commonwealth Office in conjunction with Departments having primary concern for the subjects raised, co-ordinates and conducts, or arranges for the conduct of, cases against the United Kingdom before the European Court of Human Rights and applications before the European Commission of Human Rights. There are no such cases or applications pending against the United Kingdom in which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has primary responsibility for the matters raised.
