§ Mr. Cryerasked the Attorney-General if the Lord Chancellor will ensure that the courts give priority to custody cases of children to ensure that the case for custody is not prejudiced by the child being out of contact with an applicant for a considerable period.
The Solicitor-GeneralIt is already normal practice for courts, wherever possible, to give priority to cases involving children or the liberty of the subject.
