§ Miss Richardsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when it is planned to publish the regulations which will define the "nominated breadwinner" for the purposes of that part of the EEC directive on equal treatment in matters of social security between men and women which the Government intend to make effective from 1983.
§ Mr. NewtonMy right hon. Friend hopes to refer draft regulations giving effect to our proposals for introducing equal treatment in the supplementary benefit scheme to the Social Security Advisory Committee, under the normal consultation procedures, in the spring of 1983.
