Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if, pursuant to the answer of 22 November, Official Report, c. 365, he will list the charges involved in the four civilian cases in the Falkland Islands dealt with solely by Service police, and the two cases where investigation has been handed to the civil police.

Mr. Wiggin

The charges in the first four cases involved unlawful possession of a firearm and actual bodily harm, actual bodily harm, and the theft of ammunition. The two cases handed to the civil police involved alleged theft and death by drowning.
