HC Deb 06 December 1982 vol 33 c372W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about the publication by schools of examination results.

Dr. Boyson

Under the Education (School Information) Regulations 1981 schools are required to publish every year a list of the examinations for which pupils are normally entered, the number of pupils in that year obtaining graded results, and the total number of pupils in those year groups in which examinations are normally taken. These requirements first came into force in relation to results obtained in the school year 1980–81 so as to inform parents seeking admission for their children in September 1982.
