§ Mr. SproatThe Government have informed British Airways that it is aware of the state of their finances and is considering appropriate measures. It has not yet accepted any commitment to undertake a capital reconstruction of the airline. In the meantime, British Airways will remain eligible for advances from the national loans fund to meet their external finance needs.
