Mr. Peter Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in how many of the road accidents occurring in Northern Ireland over the Christmas and new year period during the last five years the primary cause has been (a) excessive consumption of alcohol, (b) excessive speed and (c) poor road conditions.

Alcohol, excessive speed having regard to road conditions and poor road conditions were factors in the following number of accidents:

The extent of new housing in any redevelopment area depends upon the density of new provision, the availability of additional land which can be brought into housing use and the demand for housing and the alternative opportunities open to those whose houses are scheduled for demolition.
