§ Mrs. ChalkerThere has been only one exchange of letters between Ministers of this Department and the M1-Al link road action committee, but correspondence has taken place on a further six occasions via my right hon. Friend and his preecessor as the Member for Daventry (Mr. Prentice). There have also been correspondence and 321W two meetings between the committee and officials of my Department. The committee has consistently supported the alternative strategy.
