HC Deb 03 December 1982 vol 33 cc309-10W
Mr. Hardy

asked the Attorney-General in how many cases, following the sale of former matrimonial homes consequent upon the termination of marriage, a redetermination of capital has taken place; and to what extent the Law Society is choosing to exercise its discretion in this regard.

The Solicitor-General

Separate figures are not kept of redeterminations in the circumstances described, nor of cliff opposite Castle Street, Criccieth. A reply has now been sent to the council saying that the proposal appears to be eligible, subject to compliance with the usual statutory procedures. It is for the council, as coast protection authority, to arrange for surveys to assess dangers.
