Member for Meriden on 25 November, if he is satisfied that United Kingdom-based automotive components suppliers who have lost business to imported components are still benefiting from the special assistance the Government have made available to BL.

Yes. BL sourced some 90 per cent. of its total requirements form United Kingdom suppliers in 1981. BL remains ready to buy from United Kingdom suppliers where they are competitive on price, quality and delivery.
