§ Mrs. Rumboldasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what arrangements have been made for consultations between local education authorities and the Manpower Services Commission for setting up the proposed technical programmes for 14 to 18 -year-old young people by September 1983.
§ Dr. BoysonThere will be close consultation between all the parties concerned. Discussions are now taking place on the establishment of the national steering group which will oversee the development and implementation of the initiative, and on which the local education authorities and other educational interests will have a substantial representation, together with both sides of industry and commerce.
