§ 57. Mr. Sainsburyasked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he is satisfied with the progress being made in improving the efficiency of the Civil Service.
§ Mr. HayhoeGood progress in improving efficiency is being made as is explained in some detail in the White Paper "Efficiency and Effectiveness in the Civil Service" (Cmnd. 8616). But much remains to be done. The White Paper also sets out our continuing programme of efficiency work, particularly the improvement of financial management.
