asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will list the six countries to which most of the species or their products controlled in Appendix I or Appendix II of CITES were exported from Hong Kong in each year since 1980.

The export of Appendix I species is prohibited. The six major importing countries of Appendix II species are as follows:

1980 Ivory Japan, China, India, Thailand, USA and Singapore.
Reptile skin Japan, West Germany, China, Singapore, the Netherlands and United Kingdom.
Fur Skin United Kingdom, Japan.
1981 Ivory Japan, China, India, Thailand, West Germany and USA.
Reptile skin Japan, West Germany, USA, Singapore, the Netherlands and Thailand.
Fur Skin USA and Canada.
1982 (1st quarter) Ivory Japan, China, India, Thailand, West Germany and USA.
Reptile skin Japan, West Germany, USA, Singapore, the Netherlands and Thailand.
Fur Skin USA and Canada.
