Whether they will investigate ways of introducing flexibility into the Resource Allocation Working Party (RAWP) formula, to make allowance, when allocating resources to the new district health authorities, for such factors as social deprivation.
§ Lord TrefgarneRegional health authorities are responsible for deciding how to apply the RAWP formula when determining allocations to district health authorities and it is open to them to introduce variations in the national formula to take account of particular factors, such as social deprivation, which are considered to be significant at district level.
