§ Mr. Dewarasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the number of crimes in which a firearm was involved recorded by the police in 1980 and 1981, broken down into type of weapon used and divided into crimes in which a weapon was used in the commission or crimes which resulted from the reckless handling of firearms following the headings used in table 4.1 of "Criminal Statistics Scotland 1979" (Cmnd. 8215).
