§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what financial assistance has been given by his Department to Christian Salvesen Ltd or any subsidiaries over the past five years.
§ Mr. Alexander Fletcher[pursuant to his reply, 28 April 1982, c. 309.]: It is not the practice to disclose the details of financial assistance given to individual companies except in accordance with the arrangements for Industry Act assistance announced by the then Secretary of State for Industry on 31 July 1974. Under those arrangements, all offers of Industry Act selective assistance in excess of £5,000 are published in "British Business" in the quarter following the date of the first payment.
