HC Deb 28 April 1982 vol 22 c293W
Mr. Gwilym Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) if he has studied the evidence supplied to him on the case for rationalising the spring bank holiday to a three-day break including 1 May;

(2) if he is now able to make a statement on his consultations with the Trades Union Congress, Confederation of British Industry and others about possible changes in the spring bank holiday arrangements.

Mr. Alison

I am at present considering the comments made by interested parties about possible changes in the spring bank holiday arrangements. A decision will be announced as soon as possible.
