§ Mr. Canavanasked the Solicitor-General for Scotland whether there have been any recent prosecutions concerning abuse of National Health Service facilities for private practice or whether any such prosecutions are being considered.
The Solicitor-General for ScotlandThere has not to my knowledge been any recent prosecutions concerning abuse of National Health Service facilities for private practice. If any alleged criminal offences in this connection are reported to the police or the procurator fiscal they will be investigated in the normal way.
