§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergThe priority to be given to the provision of treatment and rehabilitation services for drug misusers is in accordance with the policy set out in "Care in Action" (a handbook of Policies and Priorities for the Health and Personal Social Services in England, published by DHSS 1981, price £3.30), a matter for health and local authorities to determine in the light of local needs and circumstances.
The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs is engaged on a comprehensive review of treatment and rehabilitation services in the United Kingdom. The Council's report is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Its recommendations and any resource implications will then be considered by the Ministers concerned.
