§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, pursuant to his answer of 9 March, Official Report, c. 380, and in view of the growing numbers of reports from sources such as teachers' organisations claiming a rapid growth in juvenile delinquency in schools, vandalism, terrorism, truancy, threatening and actual violent behaviour, not only among senior pupils but also in primary schools, he will cause a national investigation to be made to ascertain how prevalent these activities are and what action should be taken to prevent them.
