HC Deb 23 April 1982 vol 22 c151W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what is his estimate of the amount of liquid petroleum gas that will be available in 1982; and whether he is able to make any estimate of supplies for the mid-1980s.

Mr. Gray

Since liquid petroleum gases are internationally traded the availability of these products to the United Kingdom will reflect the balance of world supply and demand. My Department does not attempt detailed forward estimates of the world supply balance, but it is widely expected that the availability of these gases both from the Middle East and from the North Sea will grow fast in the present decade and will be more than sufficient to secure supplies for existing United Kingdom markets.
