§ Mr. AlisonThe schemes for which the Department of Employment is responsible which involve training are the youth opportunities programme—including the careers service strengthening scheme—community industry and the services provided by the training services division of the MSC. The estimates for these schemes in 1981–82 provide for £485.7 million excluding expenditure on training allowances; however, a shortfall on expenditure is anticipated.
