§ Dr. BoysonIn 1981–82 the Schools Council received £1,879,000 as a grant in aid from the Department of Education and Science. It also received £1,785,000 from the local authorities, paid as a deduction from the rate support grant under the terms of section 56(9) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980.
