§ Mr. Lennox-Boydasked the Secretary of State for Industry what sums of money were paid by way of grants or aid to industry from the European Economic Community to organisations in the Morecambe and Lonsdale constituency in the last year for which figures are available.
§ Mr. MacGregorNo grants from the European regional development fund were made in respect of industrial projects in the Morecambe and Lonsdale constituency during 1981. Such grants are in any case payable only in respect of projects which have already received United Kingdom regional aid, and are retained by 341W the Government as a contribution thereto, as provided for in the fund regulation. There were no applications for loans from the European Investment Bank from firms in this area.
