§ Mr. Dafydd Wigley asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what weekly pension has been payable to widows of persons who have died as a result of industrial disease, over and above the level of nominal widows pension or retirement pension, in each of the past 12 years; and if he will now take steps to increase payments.
§ Mrs. Chalker: Throughout the past 12 years, the weekly pension payable to the widows of men who have died as a result of an industrial disease has exceeded the standard rate of the main scheme widows' pension and retirement pension by 55p.
