§ Mr. Gordon Wilson asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will implement those recommendations of the Office of Fair Trading contained in its annual report 1980 which deal with the sale of used cars including recommendations regarding the provision of a written statement verifying the car's good condition at the time of sale, the augmented design of the vehicle registration document, the introduction of tamperproof odometers and the provision of statutory mileage information notices to accompany the sale of used cars.
§ Mr. Eyre:My right hon. Friend is considering these recommendations in conjunction with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport, and will make a statement as soon as possible.
