§ Mr. Gordon Wilson asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will conduct a social and economic deprivation analysis survey in Mid-Craigie, Dundee, to determine the levels of urban support which might be appropriate; and if to that end he will publish the statistics of unemployment and take up of benefit in the area.
§ Mr. Rifkind:No. Mid—Craigie is already recognised as suffering from deprivation. Tayside regional council's multiple deprivation working party has made a study of the area's needs and the council has sought and obtained from my right hon. Friend urban programme support for two projects there.
