HC Deb 29 October 1981 vol 10 c428W

Mr. Shersby asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he has had any consultations with the Thames water authority; and if any estimate has been made of the costs of providing an alternative site to the Perry Oaks sludge works in the event of a fifth terminal being constructed at London Heathrow airport;

Mr. Giles Shaw:

The planning application made by Uttlesford district council to build a fifth terminal at London Heathrow airport is being considered at a public inquiry being held concurrently with that into the British Airports Authority's planning application relating to development at Stansted airport. The issues raised in these questions are now the subject of examination at that inquiry and it would not be appropriate for me to comment on such matters at this stage.
