§ Dr. Summerskill asked the Secretary of State for Employment what consideration he has given to the amendments to the Equal Pay Act suggested to him by the Equal Opportunities Commission; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Alison:I understand that, following discussions with my Department, the Equal Opportunities Commission is reviewing its proposals and hopes to complete its review by the end of the year. This is one of the matters which my right hon. Friend will be discussing with the chairman of the Equal Opportunities Commission when he meets her on 27 November.
