§ Mr. Anderson asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what advice he is offering local authorities on policies of repurchase or compensation in respect of individuals who have purchased Airey homes from the same local authority.
§ Mr. Stanley:No advice has been offered. The question of statutory compensation depends upon whether the local authority exercises any of its powers for dealing with houses which are unfit for human habitation. Repurchase is a matter for individual local authorities to decide.
