Mr. Ray Powell

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied that the Wages Inspectorates is adequately staffed to deter unscrupulous organisations from undercutting the wage rates.

Mr. Alison:

I regard the present level of inspection, which includes the investigation of all complaints, to be a sufficient deterrent.
