asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made by the London Dockland Development Corporation since 1 July.

Mr. Heseltine:

Ten members have now been appointed to the corporation, including the leaders of the three constituent boroughs. It has acquired more than 500 acres of land and is planning a wide range of projects, some of which are already under way.
