§ Mr. Allen McKayasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is the present position of Government plans to effect the installation of combined heat and power schemes.
§ Mr. Mellor:Work is progressing with the market and engineering surveys for the CHP/DH feasibility programme announced by my hon. Friend, the Under-Secretary of State on 23 June. These surveys will assist the lead consultant, W. S. Atkins and Partners, in making comparisons between the nine locations being studied in detail and in preparing recommendations to the Government about the next stage of the programme. W. S. Atkins and Partners now expects to present its report by February 1982.
