HC Deb 28 October 1981 vol 10 c367W
Mr. Knox

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people currently receive constant attendance allowance.

Mr. Rossi:

There were about 8,400 recipients of constant attendance allowance under the war pensions and industrial injuries schemes on 30 September 1979. My hon. Friend may have in mind also the attendance allowance under the general scheme in respect of which the most recent estimate is that there were 295,000 people in receipt of it on 30 September 1980.
