Mr. Needham

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he is satisfied that the surplus personnel generated by the current rundown of the Jaguar maintenance programme will not be required by the introduction of the Tornado.

Mr. Wiggin:

I am satisfied that adequate arrangements have been made to maintain the Tornado in service.
