(2) what is the estimated expenditure in England and Wales per pupil in (a) nursery and primary schools and (b) secondary schools in the maintained sector, including capital developments for 1981–82.
§ Dr Boyson:Planned institutional recurrent expenditure per pupil in England for 1981–82 is £614 in nursery and primary schools and £857 in secondary schools in cash terms. Capital expenditure on nursery, primary and secondary pupils cannot be separately identified within the planned provision for schools capital: planned capital expenditure per nursery, primary and secondary pupil in 335W England 1981–82 is £34 in cash terms. Expenditure in Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
