§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the rebates which are being considered by the European Assembly fall to be paid under the agreement of 30 May.
§ Mr. Ridley:I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the United Kingdom's supplementary measures refunds in respect of 1981, which have recently been the subject of discussion in the Budgets Committee of the European Parliament. The 30 May 1980 agreement provides for these refunds in respect of 1981 to be paid out of the Community's 1982 budget, except to the extent that they have already been covered by advances from the 1981 budget.
