§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Lord Privy Seal why an official invitation to visit the United Kingdom has been issued by Her Majesty's Government to a Minister in the Government of Chile; when the visit will take place; what meetings and talks are planned; and who the Minister will be.
§ Mr. Luce:The Chilean Minister of Mines, who had already been invited privately to a function in London, accepted an official invitation to extend his stay from 11 to 17 October. He called on my hon. and learned Friend the Minister for Trade. The Chilean Minister of Finance has accepted an invitation from the British Overseas Trade Board and Canning House to visit London to address a business seminar on Chile on 16 November. His programme has not yet been finally fixed, but is expected to include calls on Ministers.
