§ Mr. Allan Stewart:The whole-time equivalent figures at 30 September 1980 are set out as follows. Although there are surgeons with a commitment to paediatrics elsewhere, posts as consultant paediatric surgeons exist in only the Greater Glasgow and Lothian health board areas. Some children treated in Greater Glasgow and Lothian accordingly come from other parts of Scotland.
