Mr. Carter-Jones asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the pecentage of babies weighing 2,500 grams or less by area and region in Scotland in 1980 and state the number and rate of stillbirths, first week deaths, first month deaths and deaths under 1 year; and if he will make a statement.

Information about first month deaths under one year relating to babies weighing less than 2,50 grams is not available centrally. The other information requested is set out as follows for 1979; 1980 figures are not yet available.
